Lady Antebellum Goes Freestyle

Lady Antebellum released the video for their current single “Freestyle” today. The song has a different sound then many of the other recent Lady A releases. Charles Kelly’s voice is more prominent than it has been in quite some time, as Hillary Scott provides the harmonies creating their signature sound. It’s not just the sound that’s different for a group that got famous through sticking to some serious country vibes. “Cherry classic Coke can, rolling on the floorboard, Fleetwood Macklemore comin’ out the speakers,” sings Kelly and Scott. A line that you would have never thought you’d hear out of the group that brought you “American Honey” and “Need You Know”. However, again they’re proven their ability to adapt.

What’s New For October 28

This week is highlighted by the release of Sam Hunt’s debut album Montevallo. Additionally Gretchen Wilson released a full length LP entitled Here for the Party. It’s getting close to the holiday season and that means it’s time for holiday albums. Darius Rucker and Alan Jackson both released their own albums this week. As for singles Rodney Atkins leads the way with “Eat Sleep Love You Repeat.” And of course on the less side of things Taylor Swift’s 1989 was released late Sunday night.

What’s New For October 21

October 21st is highlighted by the release of Little Big Town’s new album Pain KillerHowever, that wasn’t the only new country music released today Gloriana released a new single entitled “Trouble.” It’s the track they opened their live sets with for most of the summer. Billy Currington released a new single entitled “Don’t It,” the same can be said for James Otto who has a new look to go along with his new song “Somewhere Tonight.” Chuck Wicks “Saturday Afternoon” and Steve Azar “Fly” finish off the new music, as both have new singles. On a pop-country, but more pop side of things Taylor Swift released another new track entitled “Welcome to New York” off of her upcoming album 1989 due out next weekend.

What’s New For October 14

October 14th will likely be remembered as the day that Florida Georgia Line released their sophomore album Anything GoesHowever, it’s not the only new country music being released today. Toby Keith released his first single in over a year entitled “Drunk Americans.” Country newcomers The Swon Brothers also released new music today with the release of their debut self-titled album. Rising star Dylan Scoot’s new single “Lay It On Me” is available for download today. You’ll have to wait one more week to download Little Big Town’s new album Painkiller, but you can listen to it now on iTunes First Play. On the less country side of things Taylor Swift treated her devoted fans to a second track off of her upcoming album 1989 entitled “Out of the Woods.”

As for radio singles Eric Paslay has new music out to radio this week with “She Don’t Love You.” The same can be said for The Band Perry who release “Gentle On My Mind” off of the Glen Campbell Tribute album to radio and Kenny Chesney’s new single “Til It’s Gone” continues to be added to radio station playlists across the country. Don’t forget to request all of these new tracks on your local station.
