It’s Valentine’s Day weekend and if you’re girl is a country fan there’s plenty of shows to take her to. Tonight, Sam Hunt brings his Lipstick Graffiti Tour to House of Blues Boston with special guest Native Run. It’s Hunt’s first time performing in the region as a headliner and Native Run’s second trip as an opener. Hunt and his team will travel north to Burlington, Vermont Friday night when they visit Higher Ground. Both shows are sold out, but some tickets are still available on StubHub. If you’re not in the market to spend a lot of cash or any cash on entertainment, we’ve got you covered. Eli Young Band will perform a free show at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den on Friday night and Eric Paslay will do the same Saturday evening. Both of these shows are 21+.
Dierks Bentley brought his Riser Tour to Mohegan Sun last night and gave the sold-out crowd a performance to talk about with some help from his buddies Eric Paslay and Randy Houser. It was Paslay who set the tone, opening the show with seven of his most successful songs. An under the weather Randy Houser was next to the stage, who didn’t let his health get in the way of his typical country rock performance. And Dierks bentley closed the show, giving the crowd everything he had as he navigated his way through a hit heavy setlist.
Dierks Bentley brings his Riser Tour to Mohegan Sun Arena tonight for what should be a great night of country music. Randy Houser is a little bit under the weather, but hopefully he’ll be able to go. If not expect a longer set from rising country star Eric Paslay to make up for the lost time. The show is expected to shortly after 7:15 and finish up right around 11:15. Here’s what to expect from each performer:
October 14th will likely be remembered as the day that Florida Georgia Line released their sophomore album Anything Goes. However, it’s not the only new country music being released today. Toby Keith released his first single in over a year entitled “Drunk Americans.” Country newcomers The Swon Brothers also released new music today with the release of their debut self-titled album. Rising star Dylan Scoot’s new single “Lay It On Me” is available for download today. You’ll have to wait one more week to download Little Big Town’s new album Painkiller, but you can listen to it now on iTunes First Play. On the less country side of things Taylor Swift treated her devoted fans to a second track off of her upcoming album 1989 entitled “Out of the Woods.”
As for radio singles Eric Paslay has new music out to radio this week with “She Don’t Love You.” The same can be said for The Band Perry who release “Gentle On My Mind” off of the Glen Campbell Tribute album to radio and Kenny Chesney’s new single “Til It’s Gone” continues to be added to radio station playlists across the country. Don’t forget to request all of these new tracks on your local station.
Eric Paslay released a third single off of his debut self-titled album this morning. The track entitled “She Don’t Love You” has a significantly different sound from his previous two singles “Friday Night” and “Song About a Girl.” Country fans will get to know a different side of Paslay, one that shows his ability to sing a sensitive song.
