We love Thomas Rhett. There’s something about the Georgia singer that makes him easy to relate with. Maybe it’s his ability to create an album that combines the new school with the old school. It could be his unmistakable vocals. Or even his seemingly flawless marriage with his high school sweetheart Lauren. So during his hour long set on the Suits and Boots Tour this weekend, we couldn’t help but have the time of our lives. Here’s some reasons why:
Danielle Bradbery is best known for winning The Voice. That sentence could easily be rewritten as Danielle Bradbery is best known for her amazing voice. The nineteen year old “Young in America” singer showed off her impressive vocals on the Suits and Boots tour in New England this weekend.
Kip Moore has always stated that Boston is one of his favorite cities in the country. Sure, he says that about a lot of cities but after seeing him perform in different markets this year there’s no question Boston has a place in his heart. He seems to try just a little bit harder, turn it up just a bit louder, and pour overwhelming passion into the songs he sings. His nearly ninety minute set at the House of Blues on Friday night was no exception.
Friday night was the first time any of the writers on this site had seen Michael Ray perform. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we were blown away. His forty minute set flew by and left us and the entire House of Blues wanting more. Nine songs, including a pair of covers, brought the crowd to life and placed him on a small list of artists we can’t wait to see again. Here are the three things we learned in those forty minutes he was on stage.
Carrie, Carrie, Carrie. Sweet Carrie. First and foremost, thank you for coming to Boston. It might not be the most convenient geographically, but it’s the biggest indoor venue in the region and the only one that makes sense for her 2016 Storyteller Tour. Bringing along Easton Corbin (big fan) and The Swon Brothers (bigger fan) takes this night from good to great – honestly the most excited I’ve been for a show in about a year. Between her sweet vocals, killer new set of music, and those legs how could I not be excited.
