The 2014 CMA Awards are in the books and it was definitely an interesting night. Miranda Lambert was the biggest winner of the night, taking home four awards. Luke Bryan took home the award for Entertainer of the Year, his first CMA Awards win and Vince Gill became the second artist to win the Irving Waugh Award of Excellence for his lifetime of work in the genre of county music. The CMA Awards air live on Wednesday November 5 at 8pm. Hosted, once again, by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood it’s a show that brings out the best and brightest stars in country music including some impressive performances (complete list here). The night dedicated to the best of country music over the past year will likely morph into a George Strait love fest at some point, before returning to it’s usual format.
