The Anything Goes Tour is sure to be one of the hottest tickets of the year. All three artists on the bill are well on their way to becoming country music superstars. Frankie Ballard mixes his rock roots with country messages to create a live performance that’s worthy of a spot at a rock festival. For Thomas Rhett, he’s as country as they come. At just twenty four years of age, Rhett’s youth shines through on stage, he knows how to connect with the younger generation of country fans as does so each and every night. And what more could you ask for then country’s party boys, Florida Georgia Line to close out the show. It’s their first major headlining tour so you know they’ll bring the party every second they’re on stage.
Frankie Ballard has been rocking country crowds for the better part of three years now. Whether he’s covering Michigan rock legend Bob Segar or letting fans sing along to his swoon worthy “Sunshine & Whiskey” you know Frankie came to get down. Known for his stage dives at the end of performances, Ballard won’t let anything stop him from having the time of his life up on stage. He’s sure to kick things off right on this year’s Anything Goes Tour.
There’s not a bad thing to say about Thomas Rhett. He recorded his soon to be single, a cover of Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man,” partly because it’s his wife’s favorite song. He’s been writing hits for some of country music’s biggest stars since he graduated college in Nashville. And he’s universally loved within the industry. So after getting the chance to open up for Jason Aldean in 2013 and then Miranda Lambert in 2014, the rest of the industry knew his days as the smallest name on the ticket were over.
With Florida Georgia Line looking to deliver the best party of the year, they knew they’d need one hell of a number two. Who better than one of the hottest artists around. Fresh off three straight top five hits and being named a finalist as New Artist of the Year at all the major award shows, Rhett was the obvious choice. Not to mention he and the boys of FGL have been buddies since Rhett, helped them pen their third number one hit “Round Here.”
As good as both these openers are, you know everyone came for the hottest duo in country since Brooks & Dunn. Florida Georgia Line just scored their seventh straight number one hit with their single, “Sun Daze” and show no signs of slowing down soon. The duo known for their fun, catchy, party lyrics is out to show their fans they know how to throw down in person too. Whether they’re high-fiving each other on stage or dancing around to the beat of any of their smash hits, you know Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will be having just as much fun as the girls screaming in the third row.
We’ll be at the Anything Goes Tour three times this year, including tonight so be sure to check back for our reviews and photos. To see when the Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, and Frankie Ballard will bring country’s biggest party to a city near you check out the dates here.
