Chris Young and Lee Brice announced their co-headlining tour last week and it kicks off this weekend in the Northeast. They take the stage in Syracuse tonight and then head to Foxwoods in Connecticut for the second night of the tour. Tickets for the show are still available, so it’s definitely a show you won’t want to miss.
Chris Young is currently riding an impressive string of hits off his fourth studio album A.M. The five time chart topper will perform his full setlist despite not being the final name on the bill. He’ll treat his fans to hits such as “Voices” and “The Man I Want to Be” as well as some album cuts off of A.M. including “Nothing But the Cooler Left.” Young’s made a name for himself as one of the best vocalists in country music and hearing him perform live only furthers that notion. He’s not going to blow fans away with his energy, but what’s lost there is made up for vocally. Expect his set to last about seventy five minutes before he turns things over to Lee Brice.
Brice has been on the road for much of the past year, spending most of his nights on Luke Bryan’s That’s My Kind of Night Tour while mixing in some headlining dates of his own. As he spends more time on the road, he’s learned his strengths and weaknesses as a live performer. Different from Young, it’s Brice’s passion and energy that will win over the crowd. He puts his heart and soul into every lyric and that’s something fans are receptive of. Where Brice occasionally runs into trouble is when he loses control and his singing turns into more of a yell. Similar to Chris Young, expect Brice to be on stage for around seventy five minutes and for his setlist to include a wide range of songs off his three studio releases. Highlights are likely to include his current single, “Drinking Class” and smash hit “I Drive Your Truck.”
