Dierks Bentley has released his third single off of his most recent album Riser. The single entitled, “Say You Do” offers a significantly different sound from the previous single “Drunk on a Plane.” The somber single effectively ends any question surrounding a shift in personality.
“Say You Do” falls closer to the number one hits “Come a Little Closer” or “Settle for a Slowdown.” Riser has been one of the best selling albums of the year and that should only continue as Bentley proves to traditional country fans that it’s not all about getting “drunk on a plane.” Instead, he shows a softer side. It’s song that both genders can relate to one that anyone can put on at any time. It may not be a number one hit but it certainly should be able to keep Bentley relevant throughout the winter.
With the selection of the third single the question now becomes how many more will come. With Bentley gearing up for a second leg of his Riser tour, it is unlikely that he would release any new music before the spring time. The most likely single remaining on the album is “Sounds of Summer,” but it probably wouldn’t be released until May 2015 at the earliest. An additional single for Bentley would be necessary between the two; possible tracks include the title track “Riser”, “Five,” and the popular in concert hit “Pretty Girls.”
Dierks Bentley will bring his Riser Tour to the Northeast on November 15 when it stops at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.
